Common Blue larva 

          Common Blue Larva feeding on Bird's Foot Trefoil.
          A pair of  retractile tubercles seen on some species 
          of  the Lycaenidae family are visible on abdominal 
          segment 8.

                            Pair of retractile tubercles visible on  abdominal segment 8. 
            Their purpose is uncertain but it is possible  that they have a defensive function.
